Tigers in India| Save Tigers| Tiger Census| Save Forests| Tadoba National Park Chandrapur| Save Wild Animals

Can you imagine, for the sake of a Coal Mine, about 13,50,000 (Thirteen lakhs fifty thousand) full grown trees are to be chopped and about 10,000 (Ten thousand ) acres of land is to deserted by destroying a huge part of core forest (Jungle) area of Tadoba National Park Chandrapur (Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve TATR).

A buffer zone area and India's most important corridor for tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, sambars, cheetals, blue bulls and many other wild animals which are found in India. Tadoba comprises of nearly all the wild species which are found in India. Tadoba's forest mainly consists of Teak Wood and Bamboo's which are one of the most useful and expensive type of wood. there is a great danger to the wild habitat, environment as well as to the ecological balance of Chandrapur a small town with heavy industrial population containing coal mines, small scale industries, cement industries, re - rollers, Super thermal power station with a generation capacity of 2340M.W. of electricity and many more mills and plants located about 155 kms from Nagpur in Maharashtra, India.

Chandrapur district i having a very rich flora & fauna. It comprises of many different and endangered species of wild animals like tigers, leopards, sloth bears etc. it is one of the most dense forests in India. Here we can find trees like Teak wood, sal wood, bamboos (Favourite place for tigers to rest and there hideouts), mango, gum trees and a plenty of other variety.

The area is main core zone and an important area of tigers. There are 7 tigers in that area where the mine is praposed and during the mating time or period this is one of the main regions as tigers change there area's at the time of movement for mating. It is a healthy region for reproduction of any animal, but if the area becomes small then there can be clashes between the beasts and that might endanger there life and because of this these animals attack the local people who live in the jungles or at the edge of the jungles. If the tigers meet with there own blood or say inter - blood mating i done, then it leads to unhealthiness in the animal and the resistance power of the tiger is not upto the capacity. And such animals are more prone to deceases.

As per some website, Chandrapur is the most Polluted city in whole world because of the mines and heavy industrial belt, the future of the people here is not so good from the point of view of health. Several times acid rains occurred here. Rainfall has also become scanty and we this huge amount of trees are to be chopped, then the fate of the people is only upto God. Because of less rainfall farmers of Vidarbha region are committing suicide as they are not getting enough water to cultivate crops. The temperature in the regions rises upto 48 -49 degree Celsius during summer. Several people dies during summer because of heat waves and if one more mine develops in the region at the cost of 13,50,000 trees, tigers, leopards and many other animals and plants, then one cannot imagine the future of the place. What about "Save tiger projects"? That bring a big '?' to every thing. So please log on to http://pmindia.nic.in/write.htm and send atleast one request to The Prime Minister of India regarding this matter and help to save Lohara Forest.
